Thing 5
I have never heard of wikisbefore so this was all new for me. I am still not sure exactly what they are or how they are used but as a teacher I think it would be a good resource for students to come up with so their parent knew what they were doing in class. When I edited the wiki what I just stated was my contribution to the list. Something new that I will learn more about.
Thing 4
I liked thing 4. This was the first time I ever dealt with finding pictures over the internet. I was able to find and post a picture on my blog and also attached a URL address as well. I also learned how photo sharing is a great way to protect your pictures and at the same time you are able to share the pictures with as many peoplr as you want. I chose these two pictures because I love to hunt and fish.

While working through thing 3 I learned more about twitter and how the majority of the people using twitter are adults with the median age being 31. Being a teacher this would be a good from of social media to use to communicate info to parents and keep them up to date on how their child is doing. The one form of social media that I do not care for is facebook and myspace. Although this is great way to communicate info mostly among teenagers, it also causes problems when pictures are posted and comments start to be made and the wrong people see them.

Going through thing 2 was very helpful because it made me realize what our society is working toward. For example if you are not able to use technology (email, text messaging, blog pages,and the internet) you will get left behind in the working world and make it very hard to find or keep a job. Also I liked how it talked about how newspapers and magazines will soon be a thing of the past because people are no longer buying these forms of info instead they are reading them online where it does not cost them a dime. I am not a big technology person but now I realize how important it is to be able to use these different types of technology.
